Athletes and Parents Agreement

Rise Performance Academy Volleyball Club Parent & Athlete Agreement

Purpose

This agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and commitments between the RPA Volleyball Club, its athletes, and their parents/guardians. Our goal is to create a positive, competitive, and development-focused environment for all participants.

1. Contact Information

Parent/Guardian Information: Name(s), Phone Number, Email Address, Address, Emergency Contact (if different).

Athlete Information: Name, Date of Birth, Phone Number, Email Address, School.

These details are collected in the form below.

2. Financial Commitment

The cost of the competitive season is: $3,300

This fee includes (if applicable): coaching, tournament entry fees, facility use, equipment, and administrative costs.

Payment Terms:

  • Payment schedule (if applicable): __________________________
  • All payments must be made on time to maintain participation status.
  • All payment plans will include 1% interest to cover processing costs.

3. No Refund Policy

By signing this agreement, parents/guardians and athletes acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • All fees are non-refundable, regardless of circumstances, including but not limited to injury, illness, scheduling conflicts, or withdrawal from the club.
  • No partial refunds or credits will be issued once the season has begun.

4. Athlete Responsibilities

By participating in the club, the athlete agrees to:

  • Be coachable and open to instruction and feedback from coaching staff.
  • Demonstrate respect toward coaches, teammates, officials, opponents, and parents at all times.
  • Give 100% effort in all practices, training sessions, and competitions.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • Arrive on time and prepared for all team activities.
  • Place major emphasis on developing, strengthening and motivating all team members.
  • Always speak, think and display positive energy during all practices and tournament events.
  • Growth mindset & curiosity - view challenges as learning opportunities and proactively ask for feedback.
  • Self awareness and accountability. I am determined to own up to my mistakes without making excuses or shifting blame to others.
  • All athletes are expected to show the highest level of respect for all coaches. The coaches at Rise Performance Academy Volleyball Club are here to provide expert education and have devoted their time, energy and resources to pour into our athletes. Please treat our coaches with respect, honor and care.
  • Promise to foster long term team building goals. Success takes time and involves aligning individual goals with team and club objectives. We want our athletes to invest their dedication and commitment to one club so we can grow amazing teams for years to come.
  • Always ready to use your 3 step RESET process when committing mistakes. Mistakes are acceptable and part of the learning process. We are looking for athletes who will practice Visualization, positive self talk and breathing to bounce back from common mistakes. Remaining upset, angry, disappointed and negative will not be acceptable nor tolerated.
  • Social media will be restricted during practice times and tournament weekends. No social media 1 hour before practice and no social media during practice times. Absolutely zero social media on tournament days.

5. Parent/Guardian Responsibilities

Parents/guardians agree to:

  • Trust the coaching staff with all training methods, player development decisions, and instruction.
  • Support their athlete and the team in a positive and respectful manner.
  • The athletes cannot be successful in their volleyball journey if the parents are speaking negatively about the club, coaches, administrators or club director. Parents are expected to hold a high standard of positivity so that our athletes can mirror the same positive standards.
  • Refrain from coaching from the sidelines during practices and competitions.
  • Communicate respectfully with coaches and follow appropriate communication channels.
  • Arguing with referees or any reffing teams is absolutely prohibited. Our only goal is to cheer for our athletes in a positive light and demonstrate joy and self control.

6. Playing Time Policy

  • Playing time is not guaranteed and is earned based on factors including, but not limited to: effort, attitude, skill development, attendance, and team needs.
  • Coaches will make all final decisions regarding lineups and substitutions in the best interest of the team.
  • Please remember that substitutions in volleyball is a big part of the game and is not an indicator that something is wrong. It defines the structure of volleyball and a big part of the strategic side of the team strengths.

7. Team Strategy & Coaching Authority

  • All decisions regarding team strategy, positioning, and game play are the sole responsibility of the coaching staff.
  • Athletes and parents agree to respect and support these decisions.
  • Questions or concerns should be addressed respectfully at an appropriate time, not during or immediately after competitions.
  • The number one objective for Rise Performance Academy Volleyball Club is to provide the highest level of elite Volleyball training and to incorporate positive life skills for all athletes to use at home, school and for the athlete's future endeavors. Let's all work together to promote this number one objective.

8. Agreement Acknowledgment

By signing below, both the athlete and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by all terms outlined in this agreement.
